About Me:
For most people, counseling is a last resort. One final effort after they’ve tried everything else. Some worry that seeking therapy means they’ve failed; and for others, the idea of therapy is just plain scary or not the way they were “taught to deal with things”. Even so, the fact that you’re reading this means you want to take back control and begin creating the life you really want. Well, you’ve come to the right place!
I work with adults of all ages and utilize a variety of evidence-based techniques including Mindfulness, Solution-Focused, DBT, ACT, & CBT. We will use a holistic approach that prioritizes both the mind and body in our work together, as well as collaboration with other professionals involved in your case. I enjoy working with the kink & BDSM communities, ethical non-monogamy, and those who need sex therapy. And of course – as you would expect at The Mind Parlor - challenges related to gender identity & LGBTQ+ are a primary focus of mine as well.
The hardest part is making that first appointment. But after that, you no longer have to do it alone! From that moment forward, you will have someone else to support you on your journey. And I would be honored to be that person for you!
