The Mind Parlor exclusively hires therapists who have experience both personally & professionally with the LGBTQIA+ community, are not transphobic, & share our passion for uplifting those who have, for too long, been forced to stay hidden. In addition, every counselor on staff is required to complete The Mind Parlor's Advanced Training Program for LGBTQ, Gender Identity, Kink, & Polyamory as soon as they are asked to join the team. It seems like everyone and their mom "focuses" on LGBTQ counseling these days, but we can tell you from personal experience that most of the time, these statements aren't backed by actual experience or specialized training. We've been actively and proudly working with LGBTQIA+ clients for over 15 years and before it was trendy... Our founder has ensured that the queer community and especially our gender identity clients are, and have always been, our primary focus. You deserve to be first and not an afterthought.
